On Sunday, June 10, 2012, Albert Lee Robinson of 9503 Boisseau Road, Sutherland, entered into eternal rest and peace at his home.
Albert Lee was the son of the late Tinker and Matlean Browder and James “Jim” Robinson. He was a longtime resident of Dinwiddie County and member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Dinwiddie. Albert Lee attended Southside High School, Dinwiddie. He retired as a tow truck driver from Browder’s Towing and Service Center.
He enjoyed entertaining others through his love for dancing and taking chances by “playing his numbers.” Albert Lee loved to drive and stay on the go.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie C. Robinson; his parents, Tinker and Matlean Browder and James “Jim” Robinson and two brothers, Gene Robinson and Robert “Bobby” Browder, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are: a daughter, Phyllis Wyche-Grandison of Dinwiddie; two brothers, Charles E. Browder (Hazel) of Petersburg and Jerry L. Browder (Barbara) of Sutherland; three sisters, Joyce B. Williams and Teresa N. Browder (Tony) both of Sutherland and Gloria B. Parham (Joseph) of Dinwiddie; sister-in-law, Shirley Browder of Sutherland; an aunt, Alma Jackson Bailey of Petersburg; two grandchildren, Lakesha Parham (William) of Sutherland and Gustavus Wyche of Washington D.C.; two great grandchildren, Deja and Joi Parham of Sutherland; a great nephew, Camden Ryder Routzhan who was his bodyguard during his brief illness; longtime companion, Linda Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, among them a devoted family friend, Carolyn Walker.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Olive Branch Baptist Church, Dinwiddie with the pastor, Rev. Kevin M. Northam, eulogizing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
