Mrs. Sophina C. E. Bradshaw 45, of 4211 N. Kinsley Avenue, Richmond, Virginia, earthly assignments were completed at approximately 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 5th, 2012, at the Chippenham, Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond, VA.
Sophina accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior at Friendship Baptist Church Hopewell, VA.; where her family worshiped faithfully. During the last twenty years her family has lived in Hawaii, Florida, New York and Virginia where places of worship were always found. She acquired her primary and secondary education via the Hopewell School Division. She graduated from Hopewell High School, class of 1984 and later received a degree from Florida Metropolitan University, Tampa, Florida.
Sophina has worked several laboratory management and customer service related assignments for companies such as: Pharmacy Management Service Tampa, FL.; Armor Insurance Company and Aetna Insurance Company Tampa, FL.; Wausau & Liberty Mutual Insurance Inc., Tampa,FL; AIM Lost Control & Safety, Vienna, VA; Department of Mental Retardation, Fairfax,VA.; and Department of Health, Loudoun,VA. It was her wisdom, intellect and keen sense of the system of business that has led her family to the established principles of Faith, Trust, Honor, Service, and Goodwill. Family, friends and colleagues will always be grateful to her for being a woman of dignity and esteemed respect. Sleep well Sophina Cora Elizabeth Bradshaw, we shall meet again.
Mrs. Bradshaw was predeceased by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Jordan and Mr. & Mrs. Bennie Robinson; sister, Michelle Jones; father in-law Henry Bradshaw, Sr.; and brother in-law Ronnie Bradshaw.
Her deeds are forever remembered by her sons Deon S. and Tyler R. Bradshaw; daughter, Jasmine B. S. Bradshaw; and husband Henry Bradshaw, Jr., all of Gainesville, VA.; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Starrie Jordan South Chesterfield, VA.; Ms. Frances Robinson Richmond, VA.; sisters Sherri Jordan, Lorton, VA; Pamela Jordan-Farr (Tariq), Wycote, PA; and Kenya Jordan-Courtney (Nigel) Baldwin, New York; uncles Clifton Jordan Hopewell, VA; Paul Jordan (Amy) Charles City, VA; aunts Mary Mahan and Joyce Jones (Stewart) Hopewell, VA;Winifred Gilmore (James) Woodbridge, VA.; mother inlaw, Myrna B. Moore, White Plains, New York; sisters in-law Vanessa Washington (Henry) Clarksville, TN; Raenel Moore of Woodbridge, VA; brother in-law H. A. Bradshaw, Bronx,NY.; nephews, nieces and many, many more relatives and friends , among them Barbara Childress and James Wheeler, devoted.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church, Hopewell. The pastor, Dr. Carl M. Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Cemetery, Chester. The family is asked to assemble at the chapel of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the service.
